Glass City Riverwalk
For decades Toledo’s Marina District sat vacant as development ideas never came to fruition. Now, Toledo’s Glass City Riverwalk has rapidly become the region's top social and recreational destination, drawing over 1 million visitors in 2024, and the project is less than halfway completed. With nearly 80 acres already restored and accessible, an additional 220 acres of riverfront space is under development, creating recreational opportunities on both sides of the Maumee River from the I-280 Veterans Glass City Skyway Bridge to the Anthony Wayne Bridge.

When it comes to Economic Development, Toledo literally has the best in the business, with the Mayor’s Director of Economic Development Brandon Selhorst being chosen as 2024 Economic Developer of the year in Ohio.
“The recognition is a major victory for our residents and our business partners. This achievement simply would not be possible without the commitment from the business community. I would like to thank those companies that continue to locate and invest in our community. Today, we celebrate you and what you have done for Toledo.”
— Mayor Kapszukiewicz
